Hi @StabatFrater1,

Thank you for the detailed update and for confirming that your BIOS is already at F.53, which is newer than the previously suggested F.51 version. There is no need to downgrade the BIOS.

Since your ASUS SBW-06D2X-U Blu-ray drive works correctly on your Lenovo notebook but is not properly recognized by the HP All-in-One, we can reasonably focus further troubleshooting on the HP system rather than repeatedly testing the external drive.

At this point, I recommend running the USB Port Test in HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI to verify the functionality of the USB ports outside of Windows.

Please refer to this link for assistance in running the test

If the USB ports pass the hardware diagnostics but the Blu-ray drive continues to be unrecognized only on the HP All-in-One, the issue may require further investigation of the USB controller, Windows USB device enumeration, or compatibility between the external drive and the system.

Thank you for your patience throughout the troubleshooting process.

Best regards,

Kuroi_Kenshi

Hello Kuroi,

this could have been my reply to your previous post, but it took me some time in different tasks. So now my reply is that all HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI ver. 10.8.7.0 which I ran did result  perfectly flawless. Here some pass IDs:

  • 7CS87-7SOSS-FG8SF quick system check 1. pass
  • 7CS87-7SO97-FG8SF extended system check
  • 7CS87-7AHSS-FG8SF USB test connected  to SS-port
  • 7CS87-7AHSS-FG8SF USB test connected  to standard port

All reports have been stored in case of further investigation.

What ever is responsible for the persistent inoperability of my blue ray drive, needs to do more research.

My Regards,

Michael
