My HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1260 Desktop PC has a Blue-ray DVD-CD Rom optical drive. It is not being recognized by the Windows system and is not listed in Windows Explorer anymore, no types of CD's, DVD's, Software or Blue-ray discs will run.
Under the Device Manager for driver "HP BD E DH12E3SHB" states "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)". Updating or uninstalling the driver through Device Manager or Windows Update does not work. Drivers listed for my model Desktop on the HP site do not list any back up drivers for the HP Blue-ray drive.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to follow the guidance at the link below:
Start with method 5, then 6.

Method 5 worked for me, thank you! Now I can find the drive in Windows Explorer. It leads me to another question, do you know what program I need to watch Blu-ray discs on the HP pavilion Slimline desktop computer? The computer software also seems to be missing to play the Blu-ray discs.

You're very welcome.
Seems like I never was notified of your reply.
If the Cyberlink PowerDVD Application I gave you just a few moments ago doesn't work, you can always use the free VLC media player from the Microsoft Store to Play DVD's.
I'm not sure about it playing Blu Ray disks.
