Product: HP 14 inch Laptop PC 14-ep0000 (730S3AV)

I am connected to a reliable and secure Wi-Fi connection, but the only browser that opens is Microsoft Edge. The issue is that all bookmarks and passwords are saved to Google Chrome and Opera GX but neither of this will open. Both are supported on this laptop and both are the newest versions of the app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both and turned my laptop on and off again but it still isn't working and I can't work out why.
