LIKE MY EARLIER HP I WANT TO DOWNLOAD PICTURES FROM MY CAMERA TO MY COMPUTER TO SHARE.  CANON'S MANUAL MENTIONS DOWNLOADING THEIR "CANON DIGITAL CAMERA SOLUTION DISK"  INTO MY CD ROM DRIVE FIRST. BUT NOT ONLY DO I NOT HAVE THE DISK, I CAN'T FIND ANY MENTION OF CD ROM DRIVE IN MY COMPUTER, BUT EVEN IF I COULD DO THAT IT  DOES NOT APPEAR TO ME THAT ONE CAN INSERT ANY DISK AT ALL PHYSICALLY  INTO MY HP ALL IN ONE  DESKTOP COMPUTER?  WHAT AM I MISSING? THANKS.  ALAN HILL

What is your Canon camera ? Does it use SD card for storage ? You can simply put SD card to your computer card reader to move/copy to your computer, it acts as a drive.

Depending on your camera, you can also connect it directly to your computer.

Now what is your HP machine and what is your Canon camera (note: Canon has thousands of different cameras).

Regards.

hi

waiting for the return of @banhien
@NAVCIVSEARSRET1  see the canon site directly, there may be the software you are looking for, even if theoretically you probably don't need it

Sorry, I was away yesterday. What is your computer ? The easiest is to read the SD card, not from camera itself. When connect them, can you see your camera under file explorer ?

Regards.

The software is no longer on the Canon site but there is an ISO file of the Canon Digital Camera Solution Disk from 2007 on archive.org: https://archive.org/details/canondc311w and a version from 2010: https://archive.org/details/canondc700w

As Prométhée said, the software is not necessary. If the Canon does not connect to Win10 you will find a few tips here: https://www.stellarinfo.com/blog/canon-camera-not-recognized-windows-10/
