Microsoft Windows 11

I am currently trying to play BO7 on my pc and I already did everything like updating bios to the latest version, making sure secure boot is enabled and it is still saying i need to update. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My TPM manufacturer version is 3.94.0.5 if that is relevent.

Thanks.

Hi @TonyScott1205,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

You're experiencing an issue with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 where it requires a BIOS update despite already applying the latest one. From your model, HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2003w, this seems related to the TPM manufacturer firmware version, which players report needs to be 3.x.2.x or higher (not just 3.x.0.x) to pass the game’s security check.

Why This Happens

  • While HP released BIOS updates enabling Secure Boot and TPM 2.0, the TPM firmware inside the CPU (AMD FTPM) remains at version 3.94.0.5, which still triggers the game’s “update required” screen.
  • The BIOS package HP has provided doesn't yet include the internal TPM firmware update.
  • Community guidance confirms that AMD fTPM versions ending in .0.x fail Call of Duty TPM checks; it must be .2.x.

What You Can Do Now

1. Check Current TPM Version

  • Press Win + R, type tpm.msc, and press Enter.
  • Under Manufacturer Version, note the version (e.g., 3.94.0.5).

2. Monitor Firmware Updates

  • HP engineers are reportedly working on BIOS updates that will include an updated fTPM version.
  • Regularly check:
    • HP Support Assistant for BIOS updates.

HP’s official HP Pav Gaming Desktop TG01-2003w PC (328J0AA) Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support page for your TG01 series. Install F.39Rev.A.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
