Hi @Vivekratr,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Error code 0xA00F4244 is related to camera issues in Windows 10, and it can occur on various laptop models, including the HP Pavilion Gaming - 15. This error code indicates that there's a problem with the camera app or the camera driver on your laptop. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue:

Restart your computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches with the camera.

Check camera privacy settings: Ensure that the camera is enabled in the Privacy settings. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Go to "Settings" (Windows key + I).
  • Select "Privacy."
  • On the left side, click on "Camera."
  • Make sure "Allow apps to access your camera" is turned on.
  • Under "Choose which apps can access your camera," make sure the app you are using is allowed access.

Update Windows and drivers: Ensure that Windows and your camera drivers are up to date.

  • Go to "Settings" (Windows key + I).
  • Click on "Update & Security."
  • Select "Windows Update" and click on "Check for updates."
  • Install any available updates, including driver updates.

Update the camera driver manually: If updating through Windows Update didn't work, you can try updating the camera driver manually.

  • Right-click on the "Start" button and select "Device Manager."
  • Expand the "Cameras" or "Imaging Devices" section.
  • Right-click on the camera device and select "Update driver."
  • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Check for third-party software conflicts: Sometimes, other applications or software can interfere with the camera operation. Try closing any other applications that might be using the camera and check if the issue persists.

Run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter: Windows has built-in troubleshooters that can detect and fix common issues. To run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter, follow these steps:

  • Go to "Settings" (Windows key + I).
  • Click on "Update & Security."
  • Select "Troubleshoot" from the left sidebar.
  • Click on "Additional troubleshooters."
  • Find and run the "Windows Store Apps" troubleshooter.

Reinstall the camera app: If the issue persists, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the camera app:

  • Right-click on the "Start" button and select "Windows PowerShell (Admin)" or "Command Prompt (Admin)."
  • Type the following command and press Enter: Get-AppxPackage *camera* | Remove-AppxPackage
  • After the command executes, close the PowerShell or Command Prompt window.
  • Go to the Microsoft Store and search for the "Camera" app.
  • Install the app and check if the camera works.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
