Hi @Vovkin,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your camera driver is missing; you may need to reinstall or update it to ensure your webcam works correctly. Here's how you can do it:

Update the Camera Driver via Device Manager

Open Device Manager:

  • In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.

Locate the Camera:

  • In the list of devices, expand the Imaging devices or Cameras section.
  • Right-click your camera (e.g., HP Webcam, USB Video Device).

Update the Driver:

  • Click on Update driver.
  • Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the driver update.

Restart Your Computer:

  • After the driver installation is complete, restart your computer.

Using HP Support Assistant

Open HP Support Assistant:

Check for Updates:

  • Go to the My Dashboard tab.
  • Click on Updates for your computer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install any available updates related to your camera.

Find Driver Updates on the HP Website

Visit HP Customer Support:

Identify Your Product:

  • Enter your computer's model name or serial number to find available drivers.

Download the Driver:

  • If the camera driver is listed, download and install it by following the on-screen instructions.

Additional Steps

If the camera still does not appear, ensure your operating system allows camera access:

  • Windows 11/10: Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Camera and confirm camera access is enabled.

If all else fails, consider switching to a UVC driver as this is typically compatible with most USB webcams. You can set this via Device Manager.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
