Hi,
I was trying to install Autodesk suite on my PC but could not. There is not enougth space on the C drive but my D drive is empty so I though I'll put it on D. The install always default to C even if I browse and then enter D:\Autodesk (I created the folder). Any one knows why?
Thanks.

Go to settings, and change the storage for apps.

What is your "D" drive? Asking because OEM PCs typically do not come with an extra data "drive" that you can use.
The extra "drives" on these PCs tend to be System Reserved, Recovery, and HP_TOOLS -- none of which you should use or tamper with.
Also, Windows apps do NOT get installed into a single folder -- so creating a folder, like you did, is not going to hold all the components of the application. Usually, that folder will just hold some settings files and personal data files.

That particular model comes with a 128GB m2 SSD main, and a 1T data drive. The OP just needed some guidance on how to assign APPS to the data drive.

The difference is I did look-up the hardware. The 1T is a data drive. It does not have the recovery partition.
