This problem was reported over a month ago, HP is extremely slow to support customers, I had better service when I had a Lenovo pc. The current one is OMEN by HP 25L Gaming Desktop PC GT15-2 which is only 2 years old! I use the wifi broadband with Win 11. It tries to connect to Rust EU but times out, it doesn't happen on any other games, I guess HP is blocking it! I always update HP and Win on a regular basis.

I bought this pc to specifically run Rust but once again HP are a let down, so my next pc won't be HP.

Hi @Johnr650,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I hear your frustration, and I want to reassure you that HP hardware does not block specific games or servers. her customers with the same issue.

Check server status

Confirm that the Relic EU PVE server is online and stable. If other players are reporting downtime, the issue is not on your PC.

Flush DNS cache

Open Command Prompt as administrator and run the following:

ipconfig /flushdns

This clears outdated network records that can block connections.

Verify firewall and antivirus settings

Ensure Rust is allowed through the Windows Firewall and any antivirus software. Add Rust as an exception if needed.

Test wired vs Wi‑Fi

If possible, connect via Ethernet. This rules out Wi‑Fi instability as the cause of timeouts.

Reinstall Rust

Corrupted files can cause persistent connection issues. A clean reinstall often resolves them.

I hope this helps

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Best regards,

Kuroi_Kenshi
