AIO 24-cb1017c
Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP AIO that has a built-in camera.

I've used that camera to take 3 pictures but cannot find them. I've searched every folder in my computer and even searched via Windows and cannot find them.

I've had an on-going interaction with Windows Community and everything they've suggested doesn't help.

I'd like to know where the pictures taken with the built-in camera are stored.

Thank you

Hi @khone,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with finding the pictures taken from the camera on your all in one PC.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, I'm here to help you today.

To locate your pictures, try the following steps:

Check the Camera App Folder:

  • By default, pictures taken with the Camera app are saved in the Camera Roll folder.
  • Navigate to:
    C:\Users[Your Username]\Pictures\Camera Roll
If the folder doesn't exist, it might have been moved or deleted.

Search by File Type:

  • Open File Explorer and search for image file types like *.jpg, *.png, or *.jpeg.
  • Set the search scope to "This PC" to scan your entire computer.

Review the Camera App Settings:

  • Open the Camera app.
  • Click on the gear icon (Settings) and look for the "Photos and Videos" section to check or change the default save location.

Check Recent Files:

  • Open File Explorer, go to Quick Access, and check the "Recent files" section. Your photos may appear there if they were saved recently.

Check OneDrive (if enabled):

  • If OneDrive is active, it might have saved your pictures. Open OneDrive and navigate to its Pictures folder.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
