Recently, I get this popup frequently

omen.jpg

I have no known use for this program, and want to remove it. According to this article

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Notebooks/Hp-omen-running-in-background-after-each-boot/td-p/83....

I should:

1 - Right-click the taskbar.

2 - Select the HP Omen Gaming Hub and interests menu.

3 - Check the Turn off option to disable the feature.

But I don’t find any HP Omen Gaming Hub when I right click, nor Omen anything.

I then attempted to remove Omen anything using the Windows Remove Program tool, and the Revo Uninstaller program, neither tool found any Omen program. I did find a HP Connection Optimizer, but am reluctant to remove it since I don’t know if it related, or something entirely different

I also confirmed that I have the SystemOptimizer.exe file referenced in the popup in the SystemOptimizerTempWin32 folder, along with a OmenInstallMonitor folder, but am reluctant to simply delete these files since I don’t know if that is all that is required.

Further searches found OMEN Gaming Hub in Processes

omen5.jpg

and under Start Up Programs

omen6.jpg

It was Disabled in Start Up, so I Enabled it, and rebooted, to see if it would appear when I right click in the task bar – it did not.

At this point, I surrender – Please help. How do I get rid of OMEN Gaming Hub
