Connecting keyboard and mouse wirelessly to PC

Just bought a new HP 27 all in one wireless PC.  I have connected the PC to the internet.  However, I cannot get the PC to communicate with the new keyboard or new mouse.  Batteries are properly installed.

Step-by-Step Fixes

1. Locate and Plug in the USB Receiver

   • Inside the mouse: Open the battery compartment of the mouse. There is usually a small slot right next to the battery holding a tiny USB dongle (nano receiver).

   • In the box packaging: Check the cardboard flaps, accessory box, or plastic wrapping that came with the PC.

   • Plug it in: Plug that USB receiver directly into any standard USB-A port on the back or side of your HP All-in-One. (One receiver connects both the keyboard and the mouse).

     2. Check for Pull Tabs & Switches

     • Battery pull tabs: Confirm there are no clear plastic battery pull tabs blocking the contact points inside either device.

     • Power switches: Turn both the keyboard and mouse upside down and verify that their power switches are toggled to ON (showing green instead of red).

       3. Re-Pair the Connection (If standard 2.4GHz isn't responding)

       • For 2.4GHz USB Dongle: Unplug the dongle for 10 seconds, turn off both devices, plug the dongle back into a different USB port, and switch both devices back on while holding them close to the screen.

       • For Bluetooth Models: If your keyboard/mouse set uses Bluetooth instead of a dongle, look for a Bluetooth pairing button (or Connect button) on the underside. Press and hold it until the LED light flashes, then use the touchscreen or a wired mouse to go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Add device on Windows.
