I am getting many warnings that my PC is at risk.  3 viruses found, turn on virus protection, your browser is infected with viruses please scan now. & many more.  Once one moves off screen another takes its place.  Thay take up to a quarter of my screen.  I have not responded to any of the messages. Most of them say McAfee which we do not use and a few of them show the Windows four square boxes.  All of them show Shift Browser. I don't use that either.

We do have Bitdefender protecting our computers and they report that everything is safe.  Looks like all I need help with is removing all of the alerts that keep popping up.

We have a wireless internet.

Greetings @pthelen1

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Did you completely remove McAfee?

Well, Bitdefender is very good.

I use either: Bitdefender or Eset on all of my PC builds.

Check for unwanted browser extensions if the popups are browser based. Try a different browser if you are using Microsoft Edge.

Try downloading the following free, second opinion, security software to check the PC for malware.

1. Hitman Pro

2. Norton Eraser

3. Emsisoft Emergency Kit

Regards
