I need to know the right way to copy documents and pictures on to a disc. I thought I did, however, when I checked to see what was on the disk, it appeared it was filled with my selections! How am I able to download it back to my computer after a Recovery?

Data that exists on any media can be copied back. There are many variations.
1) Drop and paste.
2) Using a file program like "Salamander" to interact.
Note: files saved to a CD are "read only".
Salamander will allow an option to clear the readonly attribute of the CD files. So you can copy them and edit.
