OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-1xxx
Microsoft Windows 11

My Omen 30L was purchased 3 years ago, new from HP and is currently on BIOS F.13     Is there a newer one and should I install it.  No issues but am interested in seeing if a newer BIOS makes adjustment of cpu fan curves possible.  I'm currently at Windows 11 Pro  24H2

Your PC's Hana motherboard has a BIOS SSID of 8876 according to the specs:

HP Desktop PCs - Hana motherboard specifications | HP® Support

Below is the link to the latest BIOS update HP has for that SSID:

OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000a Software and Driver Details

If you click to expand the Revision History section, you will find all of the release notes to the previous BIOS updates.

I see that HP does not have any info listed for the current BIOS update, but I found those at the link below:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp155001-155500/sp155132.html

It also indicates that if you install the latest BIOS update, you cannot go back to an earlier version.

Looks like the only fan info was in F.11 & F.12.

If your PC is running fine, you may not want to risk updating the BIOS.

Sounds correct, thanks.   It "seems" like my cpu is running warmer than before, using the same game, ( msfs) so I ordered a kit of noctua heat sink paste in case that has become less effective on the stock cooler over 3 years.    CPU averages around 77c during MSFS use, with gpu cooler than that.  Not excessive.   I run the Omen desktop app with fans set to normal ( other choices are quiet or turbo ).
