I have managed to mess something up at startup on my HP Al in one. It used to use face recognition at startup. Now it says "Couldn't turn on the camera. Please sign in with your PIN" The PIN sign on works ok. Once signed in I can start the Camera APP and the camera is working fine. Can anyone advise me how to fix this please.

I am using an HP All in one. it is about 5 years old The document link you gave gives me a -404. But the product number is 00325-96190-50319-AAOEM As I say the camera works fine it just cannot be started when I initially sign on.
Thanks

Hi @Iwanttobeme,
Thanks for sharing the details. I am afraid that is not the product number. Kindly look behind or the sides of the All-in-one PC, it should give a number ending #aba 😊
Thanks.

Thanks for your help. I followed all the steps but nothing worked until Step 6. I simply checked Sign in Options and discovered I had turned off 'Windows Hello Face' . How I did that I can't remember but in the end it was a simple fix. Thanks again for your help.

If your HP All-in-One PC isn't recognizing your face at startup but works fine with PIN login:
- Check Windows Hello Face settings in Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options to ensure it's enabled and configured correctly.
- Update your camera driver in Device Manager under "Cameras" or "Imaging devices."
- Restart the Windows Biometric Service in Services.msc.
- Verify camera access settings in Settings > Privacy > Camera.
