Microsoft Windows 11

I have a HP Pavilion All in One Desktop (for some reason not showing as my produce).  I keep getting the Critical Update needed to display control message when I start my desktop.  The update is HPDC_Service_4.9.25.  I have tried to install it but I keep getting the same message.  I know this has been an issue for others but I would like to know what solution will work with my All in One.

Thanks.

Users report that new update fails. Ignore or disable, Open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc), go to Startup tab, find "HP Display Control" or "HPDC_Service", disable it, then restart. This stops popups without losing functionality. You can check it again after sometime when newer version available.

Download  as the pop ups say, when the file downloads into download folder,  then opens into further pop up it says will download into a folder something  like windows C  SWSETUP  SP140213. You need to go and find that file as it does not bring into the open for us to see itself.  Once seen this double click that SP140213  to open and will roll out the update successfully.

Thats where  the muck up is we are not used having to fully deal with updates like that, all that should happen from the original interface presented to us for the update. Not fair to do that.

Thanks Ian - seems to have worked fine.  As you say, HP should have made all this work without expert intervention.
