HP-TE01-1020, Windows 11 21H2 (22000.832).
I think that there may be something wrong with the D-drive (which is a SSID). All of a sudden, when I try to open a file that is in the D-drive, I get this notification and I really don't know how to handle it. For example, when opening photo editor (on C-drive), the image files and folders (all of which are on the D-drive) on it, do not show. Also, when going to Documents stored on the D-drive, no files/folders are listed. Otherwise, the computer is running fine (internet access, email, no viruses that my scans could detect), other than an earlier problem I'm having with getting the PC and the monitor to sleep as they have done in the past . BTW, as the PC's warranty expires in 16 days...August 9, I'm hoping we can arrive at a solution soon, or will still have enough time left to use the warranty. Thanks.

hi
"wrong with the D-drive (which is a SSID)."
what do you mean ?
https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-envy-desktop-pc-te01-1000i/32480777/model/35904116/document/...
you have two drives the first windows
512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD
and the second drive
1 TB 7200 rpm SATA HDD
Open windows explorer and take a screenshot here
Then select D , drive open and do the same
If you get this error message, the data has been deleted, erased, or there is a problem with the drive
to know now if you had the data on the second hard disk HDD, and not another partition..

Hi. My bad re SSID. Anyway, I have just put my bottle of Valium away as it appears that the PC's D-drive miraculously came back on its own this morning. Since posting this problem yesterday, I have not done anything to try to correct. Nonetheless, out of curiosity, do you have any thoughts about what might be happening? For me, I guess the PC gremlins felt sorry for me. And, of course, I am now in the process of backing up.

yes, that's what I would have recommended.
difficult to know if temporary or not!
Unfortunately impossible for me to know what happened, it could be a sign of hard drive weakness!
check at least this, even if it may not be conclusive:
