Hi,
my EliteDesk turns off the LAN port when going to sleep. It even turns on the LAN very lately on startup.
I tried several things like turning off hybernation mode in device settings of the ethernet card but nothing helped.
How can I fix this?

Possibly your Wi-Fi device is not waking up properly when the computer wakes up from sleep or hibernation.
The Wi-Fi device may have a Power Management feature as shown below. If you un-check the box "Allow the computer.." then the Wi-Fi device will be enabled during sleep and will not have to be woken up when the computer resumes from sleep. Laptops in modern standby will be missing the following option.
if you are missing the option to disable power saving then do an analysis of the sleep functions and try the suggested ways to fix sleep.
let me know what happens
[edit] Forgot to mention - if you disable hibernation then windows fast start does not work. First, fix the problem with the power management. Make sure all is working then turn hibernation back on.
To get a new hiberfile do the following. Enter 'CMD' in the windows search and select 'run as administrator'.
Be sure to close other apps to avoid losing data during the hibernation. Only do this when the system is setup correctly else it will resume exactly where it left off
powercfg -h off powercfg -h on shutdown /h |

Hi,
I'm not using WiFi only cable.
I solved the problem by deactivating der W11 Firewall, now it works.
What's still left is: The NIC comes up very late - approx 5 Seconds after the screen. Is there a way to force it?

It may be a fast start problem. The hibernation file may have the WIFI off and the PC takes a few seconds to turn it on.
With wifi working get a new hibernation file
To get a new hiberfile do the following. Enter 'CMD' in the windows search and select 'run as administrator'.
Be sure to close other apps to avoid losing data during the hibernation.
powercfg -h off powercfg -h on shutdown /h |

Question: Do you have modern standby?
Modern standby is explained here
If you are using Modern Standby then your bios is configured to use S0.
Please copy and paste the following command into Windows Command Prompt using Administrator mode.
powercfg /a |
Should look something like this:
|
If there is a problem with modern standby possibly your BIOS setup has the option to use S3 instead of S0.

Right, but the problem is waking up from sleep. Hardwired ethernet chips also have power management that might not be working
disable power saving on the ethernet, not just the wifi
when working then do the same hibernate creation
See if that helps.
