Has Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop TG02 and Windows 11 Home 23H2. In the bios (UEFI) it says Diagnosics UEFI version 10.03.2.0 and that it is out of date, so it is suggested to go to www.hp.com/go/techcenter/PCDiags to update my diagnostics version.
But when I go to that website it says there is version 10.5.0.0 but only for Win 7/8/8.1/10 32/64 bit. When I still load the file and try to install it, during the installation a warning pops up that file 'install.exe' has not been marked for installation. It continues anyway, but the installation will not change the diagnostics version. And then I have to ask why UEFI tells me that I have an outdated diagnostic version if I can't update?

Hi @ValeriKikabidze,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing some frustration with updating the diagnostics version on your Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop. The discrepancy between what the BIOS is indicating and what's available for download can indeed be puzzling.
Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.
- Check Compatibility: Ensure that the diagnostics version you're trying to install is indeed compatible with your system. Sometimes, certain versions are only intended for specific hardware configurations or operating systems.
- BIOS Update: Sometimes, updating your BIOS to the latest version can resolve compatibility issues or discrepancies. Check if there are any BIOS updates available for your system on the HP support website and follow the instructions carefully to update it.
- Alternative Diagnostic Tools: While the built-in diagnostics tool provided by HP is convenient, there are alternative diagnostic tools available that you can use to assess your system's health. These tools may not integrate directly with the BIOS, but they can still provide valuable insights into your system's performance and stability.
Remember to proceed with caution when updating BIOS or installing system-level software, as any missteps could potentially cause issues with your system.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
