@DavidS31 -- when I have the computer in TV mode, can I use the DirecTV remote to control the volume?
Probably not.
Your remote-control sends some commands, e.g., channel up/down, menu, guide to the DirecTV box. After you "pair" your remote-control to your stand-alone TV, your remote-control sends some commands directly to that TV, such as volume-up/down/mute, and input/source, and on/off.
As @banhien indicated, unless you can "pair" your remote-control with your All-In-One, which is unlikely, the audio-volume sent to your All-In-One can only be controlled by using your computer's mouse to move the slider on the Windows volume-control.
However, on your All-In-One, if you connect its "audio-output" to a sound-bar, to bypass the internal speakers, you could use the sound-bar's remote-control to change the volume of the sound-bar.
So, keep the DirecTV's remote-control in one hand, the sound-bar's remote-control in your other hand, and (almost) never get out of your chair. 🙂
