I would like to disable or reassign the F1 key as when I inadvertently tap F1, I get the bing help site. I would like to disable this feature or reassign the function. This occurs when I am using Word 2016. I tried to reassign the function of the F1 key using: File, Options, Customize Ribbon, Keyboard shortcuts/Customize, etc. But it would not let me reassign the F1 key function.

Is there any way to disable the F1 key? Thank you.

You could try using a third-party utility known as SharpKeys -- but you would have to look for that, and you use it at your own risk.

Good Luck
