What we have here is like the two sides of a coin and I can’t seem to make sense of this incongruity or contradiction. When I asked the HP Support Assistant to fetch me the latest updates, it informed that I already have the latest drivers. But at HP.Support.com/drivers, I get a ton of updates for drivers. Two ways to tackle this issue with two different conclusions. I don't understand this. Which is “right” and which is “wrong.” Could you enlighten me?
All this begs the question: how does a technophobe like me choose which drivers I need for my system? Which are critical ones? Which ones are just recommended?

hi

If the computer is working, that HP support says everything is good, don't worry
In the product pages you can have multiple versions, so see the most recent and operating system version, for example:
Realtek HD Audio Driver (Windows 10 v1709 / v1803 / v1809) | 6.0.8720.1 Rev.A |
Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver (Windows10 v1903) | 6.0.8924.1 Rev.A |
You may have drivers that match another model, some may work.
but if you are not very computer savvy, it is better to leave it as is!
