Hello. I hope I have posted this the right place - I was a bit unsure.
I am in the process of building a Win98 SE machine (OS not listed in dropdown of the forum), just for fun. I have came across a motherboard that should work nice.
This is about a HP Compaq Slot 1 ATX motherboard with Intel 440BX chipset. The board is probably produced in '98 - '99 (?).
I am pretty sure I have found the right chipset-drivers, but I was looking for more information about the motherboard, and if needed: The rest of the drivers. Also, a manual would be very nice.
Is there anyone who can help me with this? The board says 118053-001 but I cant find out much with this.
Kind regards, K.S.

Hi:
The motherboard is from the old Compaq Deskpro model series.
See if these W98 drivers work for you...

You're very welcome.
Yes, that is a pre-HP model. It is a 'pure' Compaq machine before HP merged with them.

Chipset-drivers worked like a charm. I don't think i need any of the others ..
The only thing I would like to get is a manual of the motherboards, so I know a little more about the headers and dip-switches. Oh, well - another time. 🙂

There is this manual on the support page.
Not sure the motherboard is exactly the same one as yours, because it is for the model series...see chapter 5 starting on page 5-1 for the connectors and jumpers information.
