Hi,

Try using the Microsoft System File Checker to check for system file corruption (Link). No luck fixing this problem using this utility does not look good.

Windows Vista is not supported by Microsoft anymore.

This means your PC is vulnerable to online threats.

You may be infected if you cannot access any files on your PC. You will lose important data if you have not done offline backups.

You could do a HP factory recovery but may have similar problems in the future (malware) after doing a HP factory recovery. Windows Vista is a security risk.

It may be time to upgrade to a new PC running Windows 10.

Regards
