Would appreciate if anyone could tell me what the above error message is. It occasionally shows on boot up, and also during Operating System Diagnosis.

Kindest Regards

Hi @johnomarch ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP All-in-One - 24-df0015na. The error message "Bad Image error status 0xc0e90002" typically indicates that there is an issue with a particular application or file on your system. This error suggests that there might be corruption or a problem with a specific DLL (Dynamic Link Library) file that Windows is attempting to use.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

Run System File Checker (SFC) scan:

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
  • Type the command sfc /scannow and press Enter.
  • This command will scan your system files for any corruption and attempt to repair them.

Run DISM (Deployment Image Servicing and Management) tool:

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
  • Type the command DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and press Enter.
  • This command checks for component store corruption and restores health if possible.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure your Windows 11 system is up to date with the latest updates. Sometimes, Microsoft releases patches to fix known issues.

Check for driver updates:

Perform a clean boot:

  • Temporarily disable all non-Microsoft services and startup items to see if the error persists. If the error disappears, it indicates that one of the startup items or services is causing the problem.

Perform a malware scan:

  • Run a full system scan using your preferred antivirus or antimalware software to ensure that your system is not infected.

Reinstall the problematic application:

  • If the error message mentions a specific application, consider reinstalling it to see if that resolves the issue.

I hope this helps.
