Failed windows 11 update

Windows 11 update fails.  I have tried the troubleshooter and other recommendations from Microsoft.  Please help.

Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x80073712)

The only suggestion I can offer if you have not done so already, would be to try the standalone update from the Microsoft Update Catalog:

You want the 1st file on the list:

Sometimes the problem can be with the Windows Update service itself. In this case, downloading and installing the update directly may help.

Visit the Microsoft Update Catalog website.

Type the KB number of your update in the search box: KB5062553

Find the update that matches your system (the one with "x64-based Systems" in the title) from the list and click the "Download" button next to it.

Run the downloaded .msu file as a regular program to start the installation.

If all else fails:

Is there a way to perform a system restore? If that doesn't work, create a test account in Windows 11 (in administrator mode) and test the problem again.
