I was dragging some files to the recycle bin, my finger twitched and they are now stuck on my desktop. I can't move it anywhere and it won't delete.

If you have not done so, Restart the computer and log in.

The "Desktop" is a folder in your account.

Open File Explorer (formally Windows Explorer)

Navigate to your user account.

For example

C:\Users\<YourAccountName

Look for the folder named "Desktop" and double-tap on it to get into the folder

Check for the shortcuts / files you want to delete

Right-Click on the shortcut / file and Delete

Thanks Dragon-Fur, That won't delete it either. It's there but it won't delete or drag.
