Four days ago, I ran HP's Performance Tune-up Check optimization tool from HP Support Assistant.  Since then, my PC is running at about 25% speed of where it was at., and the graphics lag behind the audio.  This is most noticeable when playing a game on Facebook or moving between sites.  It acts as though some major process is running in the background and using up all the CPU or memory, but checking Task Manager, that doesn't appear to be the case.  I loaded the 3 pending Win10 updates, with no change in the speed.  Is there a way to undo what that Performance tool did, or just rollback to the day before on the OS, or is there another way to fix this without going through a complete re-install of Win10 or something to that extreme?  All ideas and assistance are appreciated?  I'm not happy with HP's tool, nor their lack of interest in resolving the issue their tool caused.  They need to be more responsible and actually take ownership of their tools and screw-ups.

Hi:

Yes, I would recommend using system restore and select a restore point closest to the time before you ran the HPSA performance tune up check.

If that doesn't work, you may have to back up your files and do a clean install of W10, because I don't know of any other way out of your dilemma.

I have run that tool many times on different HP PC's.  Never had an issue with it.

Now I will have to make sure I create a restore point before running it in the future.

If it happened to you, it could happen to me too.
