Hello, I manage HP computers and laptops in my company, and Im struggling with 2 HP elitebooks that are stuck on specific BIOS version, that cannot be updated or rolled back. Its U82 01.02.01. When I try to update using F10 menu in BIOS I get an error "update failure during data transfer (maximum download content size exceeded)". When I try to update in windows, HP support assistant does nothing and when I download BIOS update using website (sp151380.exe) it sees that update is needed, and asks for a restart. But the restart does nothing. Any idea or suggestion? Thank you very much

While IDK why the update does not complete for you but - look at the BIOS download using 7-zip.  Open the download with the 7-zip menu and pick the Bios Flash.htm file.  Inside (once the file opens) you will see several items giving assistance on "How to"

Directions on "HP Firmware Update and Recovery (HpFirmwareUpdRec) Flash Utility", and "Startup Menu / F10 Setup Firmware Update" being the first two items.  Try either or both to see it that information helps.

I'm not an HP employee.
