HP ALL IN ONE 200

HI People,

I have a very old hp all in one 200 which had windows 7 loaded. I then started the windows 10 upgrade which was running smooth until the last bit. Then it wasnt.

Machine kept restarting and then tried system recovery and so on. Needless to say i have tried everything from rebooting, pressing escape and system recovery using the F11 and it just wont let me into that.

So now i was left with an option to make a cloud recovery tool installer and the boot from a usb.

The problem NOW is that it cant recododnize my serial number or product number.

Can ayone here please help me with a system recovery for the bellow serial number and product number PLEASE.

It appears your PC (BK311AA) has an Intel Core 2 Duo 64-bit processor E7500.

This processor was released for sale in 2009. Your PC must be around 17 years old.

The E7500 can work with W10. But you might have other Legacy driver problems. I can't say if your PC can successfully run W10.

Doing a W7 upgrade to W10 could be problematic.

Use the W10 installation media to do a clean installation to see if this works.

A HP Cloud Recovery for your PC would not be available. 

Computer Surgeons used to sell legacy HP PC recovery kits but this site is gone.

The only other option would be to try a current Linux distro if you want to continue using this HP PC

I'm doing Linux Mint (free) on a few Legacy PCs. Linux Mint 22.3 is relatively secure and can connect to the Internet.

Thank u for the prompt response as it was at least helpful.  

My problem is that the machine has now crashed won't boot into windows and I can't do a system restore. What would u suggest I do?

I know its old but all I want to use it for is to use it as an emulator to run an app for my electronic dart board.

I don't know. Maybe the HDD is in trouble. And you can't do an in situ W7 recovery.

You might need a new HDD.

Go Here. Make W10 installation media on a different PC.

You'll have to make bootable DVD media. I don't know if your Legacy PC can boot using USB installation media.

Try a clean W10 install to see how it goes.

You might be able to find W7 Home DVD installation media at Amazon or some other online retailer..

Your PC is really old. Recovery options are limited.

Will give it a go as the hdd was working fine as was the pc until clever me decided to upgrade windows. Should have just left it alone.

This site has the W7 Home Premium 64-bit ISO file which if you have the W7 product key for your PC should work.

It may only be the U.S English version though.

HP still has the drivers available for your PC which surprises me very much since the model series is over 10 years old, and HP retires support for all consumer class PCs that have reached 10 years of age.

This one must have escaped the axe.
