HP 435 Programmable Wireless Keypad
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I downloaded HP Accessory Center. Tried to add the HP 435 Keypad so I can utilize the extra keys, it keeps redirecting me to the bluetooth and other device settings. I connected the keypad to bluetooth. Returned to the HP AC, nothing happened. I select the product again and it redirects me to bluetooth settings again. I've tried all other troubleshoot options. You can't even contact support as it says "not available for your region at the moment".

Anyone have any ideas?

Before someone from HP asks if the deivce is compatible with HPAC. There is literally an option in HPAC for this device.

@Chaddy12, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help resolve the issue where the HP Accessory Center (HPAC) is not recognizing the HP 435 Programmable Wireless Keypad, even though it's connected via Bluetooth:

Reinstall HP Accessory Center

Sometimes a clean reinstall can fix recognition issues.

  • Uninstall HP Accessory Center from your PC.
  • Download the latest version from the Microsoft Store or HP official support page.
  • Restart your PC after installation.

Reconnect the Keypad

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
  • Remove the HP 435 Keypad if it’s already paired.
  • Re-pair the device:
    • Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the keypad until the LED blinks.
    • Select it from the list of available devices and pair it again.

Launch HP Accessory Center

  • Open HPAC and wait a few seconds.
  • If the device still doesn’t show up, try the following:
    • Click “Add Device” in HPAC.
    • If it redirects to Bluetooth settings again, leave the settings open, return to HPAC, and wait 10–15 seconds.

Update Bluetooth Drivers

Outdated drivers can prevent proper communication.

  • Open Device Manager.
  • Expand Bluetooth, right-click your adapter, and choose Update driver.
  • Select Search automatically for updated driver software.

Check for Windows Updates

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Install any pending updates and restart your PC.

Hey Max3Aj.

I tried each step you posted above but unfortunatley none of them worked. Again every time I select HP 435 from HPAC it just opens bluetooth settings instantly and does nothing else. You can see in the screenshot i sent to you in chat that HPAC is open and the device is connected to my PC.

Hoping you can help.

Thanks,

Matt
