Hi
I am trying to load the HP app to control my printer which is a HP Officejet pro 9010e Every time I download the app it freezes at the white login screen. I have tried all the usual advertised fixes ie repairing the app, resetting the app and completely uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. I also have a invictus laptop which it loaded and works well on and I also have the app on my mobile devices. so I am sure the problem lies which the Omnistudio X itself

Hi @MarkC127
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Thank you for sharing the details. Since the HP App works fine on your other devices, the issue is specific to the Omnistudio X environment. Let’s go through a structured set of steps to ensure the app loads correctly:
Update Windows
- Open Settings → Windows Update → Check for updates.
- Install all pending updates, including optional ones related to drivers.
Check Microsoft Store Updates
- Open the Microsoft Store.
- Select Library → Get updates.
- Ensure the HP App and related services are fully updated.
Clear Microsoft Store Cache
- Press Windows + R, type wsreset.exe, and press Enter.
- A blank window will appear and close automatically, refreshing the Store cache.
Verify System Date and Time
- Go to Settings → Time & Language.
- Ensure Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically are enabled.
- Incorrect system time can prevent login screens from loading.
Check Background Services
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Locate Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant and Credential Manager.
- Ensure they are set to Automatic and running.
Create a New Local User Profile
- Go to Settings → Accounts → Family & other users.
- Add a new local account and install the HP App there.
- This helps confirm if the issue is profile-specific.
Reset Network Settings
- Open Settings → Network & Internet → Advanced network settings.
- Select Network reset and restart the PC.
- A clean network stack often resolves login screen freezes.
Reinstall Using Microsoft Store Only
- Uninstall the HP App completely.
- Restart the PC.
- Reinstall directly from the Microsoft Store, avoiding third-party installers.
By following these steps, the HP App should load past the white login screen and function normally on your Omnistudio X.
