HP Compaq Pro 6300 microtower-pc
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have recently received this system and I was touching it up and preparing it for somebody by updating all the firmware.

It was on firmware 2.0x (I forgot the exact number). I could not update right away to 03.08, that would fail. I figured I would have to step through all the BIOS editions posted under the Windows 7 section.

I updated to 2.57, this worked without issues.

Afterwards I updated to 2.90, but now the system is no longer giving any display. The system powers on and the fans spin but nothing is happening.

What I have I have tried:

- CMOS reset (removing CMOS battery, unplug power, and holding power button for 30 - 60 seconds)

- BIOS recovery according to the documentation provided by the BIOS update

The BIOS documentation says in case a BIOS failure has happened (I'm not sure if a failure happened), put the .BIN file found in the DOS flash folder on the root of a USB stick and plug it into the desktop computer. I have done so and left the computer to be for 20 - 30 minutes but it has made no difference.

Anyone have any clue what else I could try? Thanks in advance.
