Hi everybody,
I have installed HP Device Manager 5.0.7 with HPDM Gateway v5.0.3630.39035 on a WS Server 2012 R2
Im trying to turn on TLS 1.0 on the HPDM Gateway
I set it on the configuration of the HPDM Gateway and select ok
Task run correctly
But if I check the configuration, nothing changed
I tried to restart all the services and the server, nothing changed.
Since version 4.7 all was workng fine
Greetings
Matteo

I tested this on my HPDM 5.0.7 and did not have any trouble to enable TLS 1.0. Make sure that HPDM Console is closed and no task are being send while this step is tried.
From the HPDM admin guide it does not look you will need the TLS 1.0 since this was required for HP Thin Pro 5 OS. HPDM 5 does not support anything below ThinPro 7. You can find this in the release notes, I could only find the release note for the latest HPDM 5.0.8, you will find the compatibility list under HPDM Agent requirements on page 9
https://ftp.ext.hp.com/pub/hpdm/Documentation/ReleaseNotes/ReleaseNotes_HP_Device_Manager-5.0.8.pdf
HPDM 5.0 onwards HP has enabled HTTPS Server for Repository which is compatible with Thin Pro & Windows. This is auto configured during the installation reducing the time to configure FTP/SMB separately.

Hello Matt,
There are ways to backup and restore the HPDM without loosing the template and units info. Looks like HP has provided a tool for backup, please refer the HPDM 5 admin guide under "Disaster Recovery" page 214.
You may use the backup tool that comes with HPDM5 or do a manual backup..
*** Remember that the repository folder needs to be backed up manually*** So if you loose the repository the backup and restore is useless.
The tool will only backup your templates, database (PostgreSQL only). I have never tried the tool on HPDM5. Last time I tested this was with HPDM 4.7 which does not have a tool and manual backup and restore was required. The steps for HPDM 4.7 are valid for HPDM 5 too in case you are looking for steps to do a manual backup. You can find the detailed steps on the the HPDM 4.7 Disaster recovery whitepaper https://ftp.ext.hp.com/pub/hpdm/Documentation/WhitePapers/4.7/WP_Disaster-Recovery-Guide_HPDM-4.7.pd...
I know its old, however there hasn't been a better documentation for the process than this.
** I would suggest to create a Snapshot of Windows Server before trying any of the steps.
