HP Device Manager

Good Morning, 

 

I am having an issue with the HP Device Manager software. I recently upgraded to 5.0.10 from 4.7 and seem to be having issues since. I can send certain tasks to the older agents, but not other helpful tasks. I can send a wake up to the device, but not update agent or changing of settings. If I send the wake up it completed at once so I know the software is working. Once I send an update to the agent or settings change the agent accepts the tasks, but then does not complete. It will sit for 30 minutes then time out. No error code is shown or any other information. I have seen a lot of update the agent and it will fix it, but since I can't do I have to do it manually? I have some running newer agents which have no issues accepting tasks of any kind. These are running on HP Thin OS just as additional information.

I also found while I cannot shadow the devices I can reverse shadow them. I am not sure what the difference is between the two, but would that allow me to update the agent? Shadowing was no issues prior to this upgrade.
