Hi Everyone,
Does anybody has a Problem with the Gateway Service on the HP Device Manager?
My Task appears in the state "Successfully sent task to the HPDM Gateway" but nothing ever happens.
No Gateway actions are working anymore, but the Gateway seems to be up. Ports are open, i've no idea what could cause the Problem.
If i restart the Gateway Service manually, it does not work, i've to kill the Gateway application.
Maybe there is a broken PID-File or lock on it but i could not figure out, what cause this Problem.
I've also reinstalled and re-auth the Gateway, and applied the latest Version 5.0.7, but nothing changed and the erros still appears, so the Gateway service is useless.
Env:
Windows 2016 german edition
embedded postgres
HP Device Manager 5.0.7
Much of ram and cpu
Worked since today, nothing changed it just stops to work.

Ok i've fixed it right now.
Steps to fix:
- uninstall the gateway service
- delete the gateway directory from C:\ProgramFiles\HP\HP Device Manager
- Reboot
- Reinstall the gateway service
And everything should work as expected.
maybe you've to re-authenticate your gateway 🙂
