Hello. When trying to view the content in the master repository content, we get an error. These templates were previously deleted.  Now I can't view the contents of the repository.

Thanks for your reply.

I created an empty file with the same name, then deleted the "no." symbol in it, which allowed me to see the contents of the repository. The error is due to an incorrect character in the file name.

Hi @UncleAy,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I  understand its bad it feels when encountering an error in viewing the content of the Master Repository in HP Device Manager, especially after templates have been deleted, you can follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Verify Repository Settings.

  • Access the HP Device Manager Console:
  • Double click the HP Device Manager Console shortcut on your desktop to launch the console.

Check Repository Configuration:

  • Navigate to the "Gateways & Repositories" section within the HP Device Manager Console.
  • Locate and select your Master Repository from the list.
  • Right-click and choose "Edit" to check the repository settings.

Review Protocols:

  • Ensure that the protocols, such as HTTPS, FTP, or SMB, which you have set up, are correctly configured and operational.

Validate Template Integrity

  • Inspect Templates:
  • Go to the "Templates & Rules" section.
  • Check for any references to the deleted templates that might exist and remove any invalid entries.

Re-import Necessary Templates:

  • If accidental deletions occurred, re-import templates if you have backups or can recreate them.

Check Repository Content Synchronization

  • Synchronize Repositories:
  • Ensure your Master Repository content is correctly synchronized if you have multiple repositories.
  • Use the "Sync Repository" function to ensure all repository content is correctly distributed.

Resolve Database Discrepancies

  • Check Database Integrity.
  • Make sure your HPDM database does not contain any references to deleted or non-existing templates.
  • You may need assistance from your database administrator to check these settings.

Take care and have an amazing day!
