I have two hard drives in my HP Envy Desktop 860-180st CTO. My primary boot drive is a 500 GB SSD drive and the secondary drive is a 3TB SATA drive. HP diagnostics is reporting a fail on the SATA drive. However, when I ran CHKDSK 😧 /R, it only found one file that it repaired some bad clusters...no other errors reported. It has been working fine and I have not ever received an error when writing or accessing a file. I reran the HP Extensive Diagnostics after running CHKDSK and it still fails the drive. Why is this happening and should I be concerned about replacing the SATA drive? PC was purchased in 2016 so HP warranty is no help.
Any insights would be appreciated.

hi
as a precaution, if not already done, save your personal data
If your problem is with the HDD, not the system disk, it's definitely less stressed, so it might seem to work
But it might break down at any moment..
if you continue to have errors, then yes, you should consider replacing it
