Love the old HP Envy 20 and wanted to give it to church as a headless workstation to control sound using daVince app.
It was working great on Windows 10 till I used the rest option to prepare it to give away.
I selected reset from local HD hoping the drivers would stay but they did not.
Having trouble loading (not getting) the right drivers. Which are not really for W10 but use to work.
My recovery (D:) drive is W10 now.
Should I and How can I roll this thing back to W8.1?

HP has retired support for the PC since it is more than 10 years old.
There are no standalone USB drivers for Windows 8 > W10.
The only driver I can give you is the W10 IDT audio driver:
Tempo High-Definition Audio Driver (Original IDT)
6.10.6504.0
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71717.exe
Restart the PC after installing the driver.
You can order a recovery kit for your PC from this vendor at the link below, but it would be for Windows 8.
