Hello Team,
We have an issue with the model HP EliteBook 830 G5, As we do not see the sleep option in power options while trying to shutdown the computer.
We did performed the below steps.
Step 1:
Updated the graphic drivers.
Step 2:
Check if sleep is enabled on the control panel using below options.
a) Open Control Panel
b) Go to System and Security > Power Options or check for Power Options
c) Select Choose what the power button does.
d) Click Change settings that are currently unavailable
e) Under Shutdown settings, We did not see Sleep option.
The only options are below,
Turn on fast startup(recommended)
Hibernate
Lock
Step 3:
User the command 'powercfg /a' and observed the below result.
The following sleep states are available on this system:
Hibernate
The following sleep states are not available on this system:
Standby (S1)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.
The current power policy has disabled this standby state.
Standby (S2)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.
The current power policy has disabled this standby state.
Standby (S3)
The current power policy has disabled this standby state.
Standby (S0 Low Power Idle)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.
Hydrid Sleep
Standby (S3) is not available.
The hypervisor does not support this standby state.
Fast Startup
This action is disabled in the current system policy.
Step 4:
Created the registry key with CsEnabled in the below mentioned regisrty path with value 1.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power
Still the is no success. Could you please help us to resolve the issue.
This issue was with all the HP device with similar model.
