The update was written by HP and Made for HP support agents , so they can call it  rum and eggnog if they want, nothing for you to worry about at all,  if they wanted you to know they would have told you ,

I currently have a Omen 30L with i9 10850k and I also get optional updates from HP.   My update says   HP Inc. - SoftwareComponent -  1.52.337.0 

Mine is a bios update that throws my pc into bootloop.   I have tried to install this update a couple of different times with the outcome both times the same (bootloop on install)   This update is persistent also.  It goes away after I try to install it but it always comes back.   

When I goto HP Assistant it says I have no updates.

When I get these I'm sure it comes from HP. And it just says if I'm have a particular problem then install it. Well every time I get these I don't have a problem but I been installing these any way. But know I notice my browser is much slower now. So I hope these so called HP updates are not causing more problems than it doing not much after I install each
