@Kikata, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP PC Troubleshooting for Boot Issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your PC is displaying hardware information on boot but seems to hang or not recognize input from the keyboard, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the problem:

Check Keyboard Connection:

  • Ensure that the keyboard is properly connected, try all USB ports.
  • Use a different keyboard if possible to rule out keyboard malfunction.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Shut down your PC completely.
  • Disconnect all peripherals (keyboard, mouse, external drives).
  • Unplug the power cable. If the battery is removable, take it out.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to discharge residual power.
  • Reconnect the power cable and peripherals, then power on the PC.

Reset BIOS:

  • If you have access to your BIOS settings, try resetting them to default. This can often resolve boot issues related to hardware configuration.
  • You might need to refer to your specific BIOS simulator documentation for guidance on how to reset BIOS settings. For example, the HP BIOS simulator provides detailed navigational help for various models.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
