So, recently went in to PC Hardware Diagnostics to do some tests (yesterday).  I had been having problems before, having had to a System Restore.

When it came to System Profile, I got the following message:

Mrmatt1_0-1776096067789.png

'Failed to read baseline:  Expected end of string, but instead reached end of data  Line number: 224 Byte Postion InLine: 89'

I suspect some piece of software has been corrupted (including Windows).  I'd been having problems with HP Support Assistant and had to take it off (not yet re-installed).  There is another thread on this forum to do with that.

Any ideas / suggestions please ?

Thank you.

I think (but not 100% sure), this is the information:

 HP Desktop M01-F1002na
