I just found out the Photosmart Essential 3.5 is no longer supported by HP.  I have many pictures on that program.  How do I save all of them as a group and move them elsewhere?

Hi @BanzaiBill,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand the HP Photosmart Essential 3.5 is no longer supported, you’ll need to manually export your photos to another location. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you save and transfer your pictures:

Open HP Photosmart Essential 3.5: Launch the program on your computer.

Locate Your Photos: Go to the section where your photos are stored. This is usually under a “Library” or “Album” section.

Select Your Photos: You can select multiple photos at once by holding down the Ctrl key (or Cmd key on Mac) and clicking on each photo. Alternatively, you can select all photos in an album by pressing Ctrl + A (or Cmd + A on Mac).

Export or Save As:

  • Look for an “Export” or “Save As” option in the menu. This might be under File > Export or File > Save As.
  • If you don't see a direct export option, you can usually drag and drop selected photos to a folder in Windows Explorer or Finder on Mac.

Choose Destination: Decide where you want to save your photos. You can create a new folder on your desktop or in your Documents for easy access.

Save Photos:

  • Choose the format (e.g., JPEG, PNG) if prompted.
  • Click “Save” or “Export” to transfer the photos to your chosen location.

Verify Your Photos: Navigate to the destination folder to ensure all your photos have been successfully saved.

Backup Your Photos: For added safety, consider making a backup of the photos on an external drive or cloud storage service.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
