Hey. An additional section has been created on the hard drive of my PC to store documents and photos. If I use HP Recovery Manager, will it be deleted?

The Recovery Manager should be totally left intact. Do not add files or edit content of this partition.

What does "An additional section" mean to you?
Sounds like someone created duplicate folder(s) on your drive. Suggest you move data from the duplicate folder to the original data folder(s).
The Recovery program has 2 choices:
1) OS re-install, other installed programs (yours) are removed. No data files are touched.
Data would include the folders for documents, pictures, video, music and misc data files.
2) Absolute wipe and re-install of the OS. Back to Day 1 out of box experience.
Is that what you wanted?
