I have downloaded SP135667 to update my AIO from HP Support Assistant version 8 to version 9. I have uninstalled Ver 8 and attempted to extract SP135667.exe on several occassions but it always ends with a 'failed to extract cab' message.
I have moved the file to root directories and elevated permissions but it still fails. Ignoring the failed message and trying 'setup' from within the partially extracted cabinet folder also results in a 'failed to install/complete' message.
My OS is Windows 10 Home version 20H2.
Is there an issue with this Cabinet File download?
UPDATE:
The above SP135667 also failed to extract on a different PC. So I suspect the original package on the HP server is corrupted!?
In the end, using my wife's PC, I downloaded SP113820 (HP Support Assistant Software Version: 9.7.433.0) from my AIO system's specific support page and extracted the pack to a USB stick. Although the software tried to install upon extraction, it was stopped because a newer version was installed on her PC (version 9.10).
I was then able to use the extracted cabinet files on my own PC and successfully install HPSA version 9.7.433.0 without issues.
