I'm trying to install HP Support Assistant but keep geting error msg tha indicates I'm trying to use a Network resource that is unavaliable. Instruction is to enter an alternet path to a folder containing the installation package "HP SupportAssitant .msi". Have searched my hard drive and no such folder exist nore does the specific file exist. My choices are C:\ProgramData\{18165758-115C-4DC0-9EC2-FF89F725767F}\ or a\{18165758-115C-4DC0-9EC2-FF89F725767F}\, so I'm at a loss as to what to do??

Greetings,
Welcome to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
HP Support Assistant (HPSA) is a very good piece of software developed by HP.
Installing HPSA on your PC serves no useful purpose. Your PC was manufactured in 2012. HP does not support Windows 10 on your product.
There are Windows 8 updates for your PC at this HP Support site (Link). The latest Windows update for your PC when running Windows 8 is a IDT Audio driver dated Mar 7, 2015.
Edited clarification: HPSA can be used to diagnose or troubleshoot your PC if you are having any problems. You can also run HP Diagnostics at boot time to check hardware.
Are you having any problems?
The issue in your situation is HP is not providing driver updates for Windows 10. You would have to rely on Microsoft to provide the correct Windows 10 drivers if you have a driver problem. You would have to replace hardware if you are having a hardware problem.
