Hi there,
I've just started up with a new PC. It broadly seems ok so far.
I've tried to begin using HP Support Assistant, as it wanted me to open it and download some updates. It had 4 updates waiting for me to download. I selected them all to download and install, but only one of them has been successful. The other 3 simply wont download and install, however many times I select and ask them to do so. They remain there with a notice that says, I need to install them.
How do I install these updates? What do I have to do?
Thanks

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues installing the updates from HP support assistant.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you uninstall HP support assistant from your computer and then download and install it from the below link and check if it helps.
Download link: https://www8.hp.com/in/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_in/en/any/psg/p...
Here is how it is done.
- Open the Start menu.
- Click Settings.
- Click System on the Settings menu.
- Select Apps & features from the left pane.
- Select an app you wish to uninstall.
- Click the Uninstall button that appears. If it is grayed out, this is a system app you cannot remove.
- Click the Uninstall pop-up button to confirm.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Hi and thanks for responding to my question.
I did actually try this a couple of days ago and it worked. I found this suggestion through google I think.
However, uninstalling and reinstalling did actually work for me and seemingly fixed the problem, so I've accepted your response as a solution! 🙂
Thanks again for your help.

I am having an issue with Support Assistant also. I try to uninstall the app but it is not showing. I try to install the app from the link provided below and it tells me there is a newer version installed and stops installing. Any suggestions on finding the code that the system is reading that makes it think the newer version of the app is installed?
Thanks!

I have hone through your Post and would like to help
I suggest you download the free version of REVO Uninstaller and try uninstalling the HP Support Assistant from the Notebook
Restart the Notebook and then download the latest version from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/in/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_in/en/any/psg/p...
If you face the same issue, try creating a new User Account, then uninstall HPSA, restart the Notebook and download the latest version
You can refer to this Link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/4026923/windows-10-create-a-local-user-or-administrator-acc... for help in creating the new User Account
Keep me posted how it goes 😊
