HP Support Assistant

HP Support Assistant starts but displays a spinning circle and does not progress beyond that. A message badge is indicated on the HP  question mark icon in the task bar. I've downloaded and installed the latest HP Assistant version to no effect. Help!

I cannot download the appropriate hp support assistant for the HP Envy desktop 750-014nb (Energy Star) windows 10 home.  Could anyone supply me with the right version I would be very grateful.  Thank you very much.  Have a nice day.

Rachel, Thanks for your reply. As I said in my initial post I cannot get into the Support Assistant as it comes up but displays a spinning circle and  does not progress beyond that. I have left it spin for several minutes with no progress.
